Profile & Save Management
Truckers Tool Linux has intelligent and safe profile settings to manage your save game data.
Automatic Game Profile Detection
Section titled “Automatic Game Profile Detection”If configured correctly, TTL can automatically sense the list of game profiles on your system. Go to the Settings > Game Paths menu.
- If you use Native Linux, point this path to the default installation folder (e.g.
~/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/). - If you are a Steam Play (Proton) or Wine user, point the path to the
compatdatalocation (e.g.~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/227300/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/).
Advanced Recovery (Restore & Backup)
Section titled “Advanced Recovery (Restore & Backup)”Use the Restore feature:
- Select a Profile with the Select button.
- Choose the source Save Slot (quick save, autosave) you want to restore from.
- Choose the target active slot that will be overwritten by the backup data.
- A comparison table (Live Diff) will appear — showing differences in Money, XP, Skills, Assets (Trucks, Trailers, Garages, Drivers), Map, and active Jobs.
- Confirm the restore once you’re satisfied with the comparison.
